about BLOGGED

“Blogged” is a collaborative blog of 14 online/mutual friends and hostees , 8 girls and 6 guys . The blog was born on January 24, 2001 when Lauryn decided to test out the greymatter script. Fortunately, it was successfully installed and so she decided to make it a team blog . Having an online journal, she didn’t want to be bothered with another writing site. So she thought of inviting her online friends who are known for their wit, charm, humor and sarcasm. BLOGGED has since converted to b2 script on January 17, 2002. Everyone should consider changing to a better weblog script since greymatter will take so much of your diskspace.

What else is new with BLOGGED:

- It is table-less . It uses Cascading Style Sheets for layout / positioning of elements instead of tables . What is table-less? Here are 3 reasons why you should use a table-less layout vs. tables.

- Go to The Web Standards Project to find out why using standards-compliant browsers and code is important. You are entitled to use whatever browser you want.

- You can also switch themes from the left column menu (will add soon).

- It validates as XHTML 1.0 Strict since March 6, 2002. It CSS validates as well.

Some URLs that I quote might stop it validating. If you want to make your site xhtml compliant, read XHTML style guide. And you might also want to read more about it here :

- And you can now get an RSS headlines feed from this site. See that orange “XML” button way at the bottom of the menu? That will show you the URL (which is http://blogged.the-protagonist.net/b2rss.php). RSS is a way to get headlines from other sites into your own. For example, the list of recently updated b2 blogs on the right are updated dynamically. To learn more about RSS, click here.

Anyway, here are the bloggers:

blogger- Lele, 20, New york - “I was so enamored by the thought of love that I fooled myself into believing that I was in love. I have no idea what love is and I wonder if I will ever find out. “

blogger - Athena, 17, Philippines -”When I grow up, I want to be a cultural critic, but my film critiquing skills need improving. I have a very sharp memory, but I usually pretend to have forgotten things so that I won’t seem psychotic. I can raise one eyebrow. “
blogger- Casey, 18, Kansas City - “yah but we should all change change change….never get comfortable with anything but true love….that’s the only thing - everything else should be uncomfortable until the day you die”

blogger- Gentle, 17, San Diego, CA - “Go ahead, part if you must. In the end, your threads will snap and you will lose your way in the labyrinth. Just don’t expect me to save you.”

blogger- Jess, 17, New Jersey - “Love is someone who makes you giddy and cheerful inside. Someone who you are not afraid to tell someone something nor to pick up the phone and give him a call just to say hi. Someone who you want to see every day, and the first sight you want to see when you open your eyes. *sigh* i made myself depressed! “

blogger- Jeff, 18, New York - ” A real New Yorker looks ahead with a poker face, indifferent of the usual tourist spots. He or she doesn’t normally go on boat rides to the Statue of Liberty. Most us haven’t even been to Ellis Island, I’m guessing.”

blogger- Jordan, 17, Texas “I wish I could give you inspiration
but it’s something you need to find yourself”
blogger- Katherine, 17, Canada “Then I feel like a complete dork, a social outcast if you must. But enjoy the computer. Online people are just more interesting than my offline people at this time!”

blogger - Lauryn, 16, Philippines - ” I’m often torn between the desire to grow up and the desire to stay fourteen forever. I like my innocence, but I hate that I have so many limitations.”

blogger- Martin, 17, San Francisco- “I like people who are pious, intelligent and have a heart. I like people who don’t have little agendas to attain social power. “

blogger- Pei, 18, Malaysia- “I may sound snobbish, opinionated, and rude, but that is not how I am in real life. Unless you come on over here and meet me, I don’t see how you can know me in real life. But even that does not mean you know me. “
blogger- Pete, 17, Australia- “I live for sport. Personally, i believe that sport is one of the most vital essences of life.”

blogger- Samantha, 16, Singapore - “I believe that everyone makes a difference in this world by simply existing in it. God created us. He has a mission for us, something to reach out for. Maybe you’re existing for someone else. That, although it seems minute, makes a difference.”

blogger- Sarah, 17, England - “And I say keep your god to yourself instead of trying to make public policy based on some leather-bound book allegedly god-inspired. “

blogger- Zhi Ling, 18, Malaysia - “My so-called “un-Asian/un-Chinese” behaviour (as deemed by most conventionalists) is not on purpose. Sure, it might seem that I’m plainly being defiant (yes, I suppose I do have a rebellious streak in me. who doesn’t?) but the fact is I believe that too much conformity is not a good thing.”back to BLOGGED
