BLOGGED is a year old! (oops it was a year old yesterday). To give you an idea how big BLOGGED was before the move to b2, here are the figures.
Before the move, BLOGGED had 3 directories . That’s because if you go over 500 entries, rebuilding greymatter was a bitch.
/archives = 585 entries
/entries= 454 entries
/store= 255 entries
That totalled 1,294 entries but wait! If you convert that to files, that’s 1294 html files plus 1294 cgi files equals 2588 files. Yikes! Not only that, those files occupied 15 MB of disk space (I had previously deleted the cgi files in first 585 entries) so 15 MB is a very conservative figure…and, that didn’t include uploaded images.
Looking at the current mysql database size for :
585 entries (didn’t convert cos i stupidly deleted the cgi files)
454 entries=0.57 MB
255= 0.25 MB
I can safely assume 454 entries are also worth .57 MB.
Ta-dang!
15 MB worth of greymatter entries are just 1.4 MB at the mysql database.
