I’m doing some research right now on the last family in the Romanov dynasty. Actually, I’m supposed to be looking for a biography of Anastacia Romanov but then I came upon some pictures of the grand duchesses and I’ve been looking at them and reading about their lives for an hour now. They have a lot of pictures, I never knew people liked having their pictures taken back then. Royalty always fascinated me though I’ve never had wishes of becoming a princess as a kid. The grand duchesses had it all–a huge house, clothes, jewels, toys and each other’s company. I guess they would have had a perfect life if only the Romanov dynasty hadn’t ended and they weren’t sent to Siberia and murdered. It just proves that one can never live the life of a fairy tale.
