One of my summer projects is to teach myself how to write in cursive. I’ve been writing in print all these years and somehow I don’t feel like I’m a real writer unless I write in cursive. You see, I plan to start writing my novels or my poetry by hand. To hell with Microsoft Word! It just doesn’t feel geniune, you know? I remember until I turned twelve, I always wrote my stories by hand in a notebook. When I try writing fiction using the computer I can’t think of a single sentence. I guess it’s a psychological thing; I think better when I write with a pen. And besides, I always imagine myself scribbling away somewhere picturesque, like in the mountains or something. So it’s cursive lessons for me. Actually, I already know how to write in cursive; it’s just that my letters come out so uneven and ugly that I stopped writing in cursive and started to use print.
