I have to hurry this…because my dad suddenly decides to check-in a hotel somewhere in Makati in celebration for my 16th birthday. Woohoo..But I’ll be back in the afternoon of the 25th.
So, today is March 25, my 16th birthday (actually I’m posting this on the 24th but thanks to the future posting feature of b2 script. If you’re a group blog member and see this while posting before the 25th, ssshhh)
And it is the launching day for my new domain, nimrodel.net . Why nimrodel.net? I chose the name Nimrodel for my domain because I think it sounds pretty. nimrodel.net is my journal site and personal domain. Thanks to Jess for hosting my domain on her server. (You gotta love the multi-hosting feature of aletia)
Anywho, nimrodel.net is tableless , xml compliant, validates as XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS. Like BLOGGED, I’ve used the Web Standards Project’s Method 2: Invisible Object to make its “text available to any browser or device, even if that browser or device does not support CSS or other web standards used in crafting the site’s simple design”.
There are 2 themes to choose but I plan to add more. Just in case you’d rather not see my face, switch to the blue theme.

Yeah it looks so simple but I love it because my journal can be read by almost all users especially users with disabilities, or those who use Palm Pilots, Lynx, Braille readers, and other non-traditional browsing devices. It took me more than two weeks to figure out how to combine design , xml compliancy and style. I’m still learning but this is a good start and proud of how this turned out. Please sign my guestbook or drop me an email.
In case nimrodel.net isn’t viewable, you can also go read it at http://ubiety.org/nimrodel
