I think I might’ve found myself a new friend today. For those who don’t know, I’ve been e-mailing this girl named Miao who studies at the University of the Philippines. Before school ended, she found me at this riotgrrl boards advertising for bandmates and she e-mailed me saying that she needed a guitarist for her band. But then last month that band broke up and now she wants to form a new band with me and this other bassist. She e-mailed me her landline number today and when I found myself with nothing to do early this evening, I called her up. She has a small voice, something I didn’t expect; for some reason I always thought she’d sound like Kathleen Hanna (from Bikini Kill). [read more?]
