overpopulated manila

Yesterday, it took me like one and a half hours just to visit my aunt-doctor in Quezon City. Metro Manila is just overpopulated. If you can’t figure the montrosity of it all, let me give you some brief rundown based on Time Almanac 2002. After gathering data, this is what I came up with:

Metro Manila’s (10 cities and 7 municipalities) population (est. 15,119,776) is 78% of the total Australian population (est. 19,357,594). Imagine 15,119,776 people squished in 636 sq kilometers while Australia’s land area is 7,686,850 sq. km. (not sure how much of that is desert though).
The Philippines covers only 300,000 sq. kilometers. Gee, what must it be like to live in Australia with all that space?

Or imagine these other population statistics in year 2000:

1. Ontario at 11.5 million.
2. Los Angeles had 9,519,338 and LA is huge!
3. Missouri at 5,595, 211 which is close to 1/3 of Metro Manila.

Our city has more people. AHHHH!! I need to get out of here to lower the stats down to 15,119,775.
