Ever since dad took MBA , he’s forced to use the internet for homework. And he has never used the computer for anything else except for MS Word. So today, he asked my help:
Dad: I have to type these links.
Me: Just type it there on the address bar.
Dad: (pointing to his notes) It says here “dial up for the internet”
Me: Uh, we’re using cable internet so you don’t need to dial up. But if we move to the other computer, I can show you how a dial up works.
Dad: Okay but I need to email my classmates first. I am the group leader.
Then he starts typing on the subject “Re:Hello classmates”
Me: dad, don’t use Re cos they might think you sent a previous email with Hello classmates
Dad: (with an impatient look) Why not? I always use Re when I type out memos.
Ugh, hopeless… and I ran off to call mom. Maybe she can explain it better.
