Casey mentioned something in his entry about how “all of the South Americans and Mexicans could party FOREVER”. It’s probably true but he hasn’t met the ultimate party animal, the Filipinos. (Well, we also got the fiesta influence from the Mexicans and Spaniards too)… Now I didn’t realize this until I attended the Philippines’ Independence Party celebration in Laos. I was told by a Filipino staff that the diplomats (including the South Americans) looked forward to Filipino celebrations. And I saw it for myself: Everyone stayed and danced to the live band music till curfew time. (Laos imposes a curfew). And those beach parties that last till 10:30 AM? Hehe, I’ve never been to one cos my curfew is always 1:00 AM. Club parties last like forever so let’s see when I’m in college when I have more freedom…and I’ll party till the wee hours.
