endless ramble

It’s more like class discrimination . And the comments continue to pour in.

And remember that entry, An extremely deep journal entry about life and popularity and nails? Kathleen who appears to be sarcastically challenged , has a lot to say… Heck, didn’t she even notice there were 50 comments in it?

Dear Lauryn,

Hi, how are you? I stumbled upon your journal when I was looking for my friend’s website and I read some of the entries. You seem to think very highly of yourself. That’s okay because I think that of myself too but when I saw the pictures of you I wondered, what exactly do you see in yourself that makes you think you’re so great? And I’m pretty sure that if you ever visited Yorkshire everyone here would think that you spoke broken English. It’s not that hard to exercise good grammar and speech, unless you’re really dumb.

I think it is absolutely adorable how you say guys are always asround you and that you get along so much better with them than other girls. But doesn’t it worry you that maybe they see you as such a manly girl that you’re just one of the guys? Girls like that in my school are considered lesbians. Not saying that you are one, of course. I do hope that when you say that so many guys text-message you, they’re not just doing it because they know you are easy. You’re not easy, are you?
Anyway, this is kind of off-topic but, what kind of car do you drive? I mean, your OWN car and not your parents’ car.

From my understanding, you seem to be a smart girl, with all this talk about being a great writer and all your college opportunities. What do you do, study your life away? I wouldn’t expect that of someone who thinks she is so popular. It doesn’t sound like you have much of a social life.
I was rather insulted when you commented on the way another girl danced at the club. The way you described her dancing technique sounds like something that’s actually cool. I’m not sure what your idea of good dancing is but choreographed dances to hip hop is just kind of…wierd. Unless you’re doing it professionally, I mean.

I wanted to say something about a more serious topic you wrote about. Why are you so concerned with your calorie intake and such? It’s not like your that fat. You may be a bit chunky for your stature, but I have seen fatter. If you want to stuff your face, go ahead. You don’t have to have a perfect body like the models on magazine covers. They’re born with those types of bodies. You can’t just force yourself to be that skinny.

I would love to hear from you soon. Write me back on my sister’s e-mail address. I don’t have one of my own.

Yours truly,
Kathleen
