Reality TV in the Philippines. Whoa! I never got to watch the Kris Aquino and Joey Marquez drama.
Prime time newscasts Wednesday night went overtime, families and offices dropped their chores and stopped, watched and listened as an outraged Aquino addressed “the whole Philippines” and for the first time told all about her latest, and apparently most violent, quarrel with Parañaque City Mayor Joey Marquez, her lover of one year and a half-until last Monday night when she said he cocked a gun and pointed it at her.
Last month , I was supposed to interview Kris (she’s the daughter of ex President Aquino ) for the ALT G, our college webzine but somehow we lost our contact. Oh well, I don’t think she’d grant an interview anytime soon after what happened to her.
