Out of sight, out of mind?

Here’s what I think:
For me, it’s out of sight, out of mind. Once I don’t see a person for a very long time, he or she just becomes a memory. If there is no form of communication whatsoever, the friendship or relationship dies. Kind of like a scene from a good film that stays with me, but doesn’t really affect me that much. It’s the main reason long distance relationships don’t work out for me.
