In answer to my “Suicide Note”

The author I referred to in my Rebutal to “Suicide Note” found out about my article and commented:

“Ooops, is my commentary too late? Hehe, I was searching for my whole name when your site appeared on Google, bearing my name upon it. So I checked. It was Lauren haha!

Anyway, I am Ava Guerrero, the person who wrote ‘The Suicide Note’. To start off, I’m a novice and I’ve written the article just for PNX, a writer’s association that accepts any written material and circulate them among members (through e-mail). It never occured to me that it would be published on a national newspaper, also one of the reasons why I didn’t give too much importance on objectivity and diplomacy (to the suicidal). Still I’m grateful to the publisher.

And it was really written in a subjective POV. Those were the recurring thoughts which have bugged me at that moment, hence I decided it might be a good topic for my next article submission. And with good intention, I’ve written the article to try if I could evoke a feeling of hope (may the readers be on the verge of committing suicide or not). That was really the theme of my article, not that I want to presuppose the suicidal person’s agenda or illness. I didn’t notice the sanctimonious impression it would create, until you did.

But I wouldn’t rebut your article, since that would be a waste of time. You articulate your thoughts clearly and pointblank (the essentials of writing I’m still trying to learn). Heck, I think you’re even right about everything you’ve mentioned. Kudos!”
