From juiceenewsdaily: “American Idol 4 top 12 finalist Mario Vazquez withdrew himself from the competition on March 13th, stating personal reasons for his decision. Mario was a fan favorite and expected to do very well this year, possibly even capturing the title of American Idol 4 Winner.
Inside sources tell me that Mario was unhappy and felt like this was not the place for him. He was having a difficult time in many areas and although he appreciated this opportunity, he chose to leave immidiately.
Nikko Smith, who was the last male contestant to be eliminated from the show will take Marios vacant top 12 spot and continue in the competition this year.
I wish Mario a fond farewell and the hopes for a bright future. He will be missed by many American Idol viewers.”
This guy is quite a good singer and it’s very surprising he backed out. The articles are saying that Mario left “for personal reasons” so there are a lot of speculations.

Although he wants to keep his reasons private, he does address the rumors. “It’s stuff that I need to deal with,” he says. “It has nothing to do with the family.”
