We have this more than 2 year old post at the Protagonist Forums about a federal sentence for threats. The accused, Jerry came to the boards to explain his side of the story. He posted the other half of the story.
First off, the guy threatened was not an innocent bystander. He would instigate arguments with me just to get me to threaten him. He would then log it, and send it to his friend in the FBI. Sure, what I did was dumb….but I at least want you to understand that He was not a “victim” of anything. You get away from something that threatens you……you dont keep poking it with a stick, do you? I got punished for what I did with a felony conviction, but you have to ask yourself if it really fits that crime, taking into account the mitigating circumstances.
It pays not to make any threats at all because you don’t know if the other person has connections with the FBI. So just hold on to your seat and grit your teeth and bear the insults.
