For me, it’s not a big deal that Rustom Padilla admitted he’s gay in front of millions of Pinoy Big Brother televiewers. I can’t blame him. He got beaten up by his own mom when he was caught wearing girl’s clothes. The gay stereotype in the Philippines is loud, effeminate, parlor gay and prone to ridicule. No wonder Rustom had a hard time revealing this tidbit. I wrote a journal entry on the Filipino gays.
