Why is Netopia, one of the biggest Internet Cafe in the Philippines, still using Internet Explorer browsers? Or better yet, why don’t they install Mozilla Firefox in their computers? It’s FREE! Well, there was none at their Metro East branch. I wonder if they have some deal with Microsoft hence the resistance to installing Firefox.
I don’t care if you only run it around the Web on Sundays and to the nicest sites. If you run IE, you’re just asking to me slammed by worms, bots, adware, and every other kind of malware on the planet. Also, one of my pet peeves is the internet options >delete cache is disabled. How sure are we that their sys admin actually deletes the cache or the cookies? NETOPIA should give reassurances like this to their customers. And they better have trained technicians in their stores in case customers question why the popup blocker is disabled.
