PHILIPPINE IDOL,” the local version of “American Idol,” airs its pilot episode on ABC 5 at 8 tonight.
The 17 contestants who hurdled the Mindanao auditions and the 35 Golden Ticket bearers from the Visayas region will arrive in Manila tomorrow, Inquirer Entertainment learned on Friday.
They will battle it out with 114 passers from Luzon during theater auditions at the CCP Main Theater in Pasay City from Aug. 1-3.
Only 24 contestants will make it to the semi-finals.
This early, I will take note of those who have Idol potential. There should be a lot of talent and hopefully the Idol judges did a good job. The launch will be featured tonight at ABC Channel 5 at 8:00 PM
