At 2:36 a.m., Gibson was stopped by authorities, after one officer allegedly clocked him driving 87 mph in a 45-mph zone. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Malibu authorities said his blood-alcohol level was 0.12 (the state limit is .08). An arrest report would later document Gibson’s drunken tirade. The 50-year-old Oscar winner has apologized for his “despicable” behavior and for making several anti-Semitic remarks.
