Crowds seemed to be watching something interesting as I entered the Market Market Mall in Taguig City. Upon looking down at the first floor, I caught sight of The Cirque Imago, a world renowed acrobatic group that was hired by the Ayala Center for Ayala Mall Tours. I couldn’t get any closer as only select shoppers were allowed near the ring. I didn’t know who they were at first until I reached home and googled for Ayala Mall events.
Founded by former Cirque Du Soleil members Darren Deneault and Etienne Bersuk in 2001, Cirque Imago has established itself as one of the world’s most respected acrobatic arts companies. Deneault and Bersuk made up the duo that hooked audiences on the edge of their seats with their unique hand balancing number and the sweeping original Duo Silk act.
With television performances on Good Morning America, Late Show with David Letterman and NBC’s Extreme Variety Show, Imago has made the rounds in many awestruck households.
