The Dance Night inside the [tag]Philippine Idol[/tag] Studio was high energy entertainment. Regine Tolentino sat as the guest judge to criticize the dancing part of the idol’s performance. Anyway, I felt like I was inside a disco club enjoying the night away with these fantatstic Idol Finalists. Some of the audience danced on the dance floor as their Idol performed onstage. The Philippine Idol Crew gave away neon glow sticks to add color and excitement during the performance. Everyone did a great job except for Miguel because the latter chose a slow number. Even Ken Dingle performed well. I can’t decide who should be out but my favorites for the night are Gian and Jan because they best portrayed the dance theme. I enjoyed the song and dance number. Even if he is not Ricky Martin, I was entertained. What an excellent number to start the night. It paved the way to a fun-filled evening

Finally Pow took great effort to change her look. The tunic is indeed a different look. Ryan C thought that Pow needs to reinvent herself. I believe Pow’s vocals are excellent. She just needs to have radical changes with her fashion style to complement her singing style.

Poor song choice . Though Miguel sang well, the song didn’t suit the dance theme.

Overheard before Ken’s performance was Jellie whining that she now knows why her cat died….the fur was used in Ken’s jacket. Haha. Ken did well tonight. So maybe he will stay after all.

Excuse me Pilita, if you have to make a comment, make sure it’s something that can be done. If you have to bitch about Mau’s weight , you shouldn’t have placed her in the top 24 in the first place. Losing weight isn’t possible in 6 weeks. Of all the stupidest thing to say, why choose the weight issue when it’s the middle of the Philippine Idol season? I felt bad for Mau. I could feel the shock the audience faced regarding Pilita’s comment. Of all the 3 judges in Philippine Idol, Pilita is the most superficial. Ryan C’s comment that Mau should learn to dance is something Mau should consider seriously. It’s true a Philippine Idol should be versatile in all music genre. Oh please, stop this weight bashing now that the show is midway already.

Gian is the best singer and dancer for the night. Indeed, he was cool and sleek. He moved with such sexy grace even though the song number was neither slow nor fast. Great song choice.
Apple Chiu (Christina Aguilera’ “Lady Marmalade”) View YouTube video
The transexual dancers were distracting . Overall, Apple was alright except I don’t really like her “birit” style.
