American Idol finalists predicted to make it didn’t go to the next round.
After Simon had called the young Baylie Brown from Krum, Texas “Commercial with a capital C,” she seemed like a shoe-in to make it through to the top 24. However, on stage during Hollywood week she choked and completely forgot her words. Joining her on the long road home was poor Matt Sato, whose strained relationship with his mother tugged at the heartstrings of America.
Perhaps they were too complacent with themselves.
When the hillbilly Idol hopeful Brown was cut, Coluccio plucked the collective nerve of America when she said made the cut “because God likes good people.” Barba meanwhile sat there in silent approval.
Ironically, Coluccio was absolutely right! God hates jerkbags and Coluccio got cut the very next day. See you next Tuesday Amanda! Not.
I really felt bad for Matt Sato and Baylie Brown. Even more sad is the brother/sister team that broke apart. The brother though is a a better singer than the sister.
