The show starts with introductions and then Ryan said along with the results on Thursday he will be announcing some sort of surprise. Carrie Underwood will perform on Thursday’s show too. Now for the performances, the contestants were ask to tell something surprising about themselves that not everyone would know. That was quite interesting and funny as well.
Here’s what I think about the Top 8 Male Finalists of American Idol Season 6
1. Blake Lewis- beatbox boy with pop appeal and good-enough voice.
2. Sanjaya Malakar - weak performance. Lacks confidence and doesn’t project well. Out of his depth and needs to mature.
3. Sundance Head- Ok voice. Consistently intense.
4. Chris Richardson- his All-american good looks and pop/country appeal will bring him to the next round.
5. Jared Cotter- likeable guy with pop appeal.
6. Brandon Rogers- has a good voice, energy, projects good vibes. Fun and wholesome
7. Phil Stacey- pitch-y performance. Not much stage presence.
8. Chris Sligh - has a good voice; his self-deprecating humor and “funny fat-guy” persona has audience appeal and will keep him in the contest.
Best performance goes to Blake Lewis
Fearless prediction - Sanjaya and Phil will be OUT.
