My husband looked forward to the weekend to watch the The Simpsons Movie . The plot of the movie centers around Homer as usual screwing up his marriage and the town of Springfield. This time by dumping pig poop into Lake Springfield, it causes a huge environmental disaster and leads the EPA to cover the entire city inside of a dome. Homer and family manage to escape to Alaska, but managed to return and save the city from utter annihilation. I was expecting more laughing gigs from the movie. Sure there were many humorous and slapstick jokes but ho-hum. Since I am not really a Simpsons fan, I expected to laugh more. I think it was a hit among the fans. Fox rocked the box office on Friday with an explosive launch which beat all expectations to open to an estimated $29.4M on Friday. According to my husband who is a Simpsons fan, he felt that it could have been funnier.
