Anyway, American Idol champion Jordin Sparks recently stated in an interview that she would wait until marriage before having sex. She said the choice was borne out of a conversation she had with her parents when she was 13-years-old. Sparks explained, “My parents gave me a purity ring and talked to me about waiting until I’m married to have sex. It wasn’t forced; it just made perfect sense. It’s going to be awesome to say to my husband that I waited my whole life for him.”
Jordin Sparks is young and naturally her views are idealistic. It would be great if she would keep her vows of chastity . A lot of teens lose their virginity before they even reach their 18th birthday. A lot of showbiz personalities made the same vow like Britney Spears but temptation took over. It is good that Jordin Sparks made this statement. She is a role model for those young girls out there who idolize her. Such a refreshing change.
