GMA- Channel 7 recently announced that auditions will be held for “Pinoy Idol”. We all know that GMA got the rights from Fremantle to show the “Philippine Idol” . The venues for the audition will be in major cities such as Cebu, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro and more. I’d like to believe that using “Pinoy Idol” is more to use than Philippine Idol. The thing is GMA could not use the Philippine Idol as it is copyrighted to ABC-Channel 5. It’s a relief that GMA 7 finally got the franchise as they have the network to show it nationwide. Pinoy Idol is slated to be aired on the first quarter or around February of 2008.
Because of this news, I’d like to present Pinoy Idol Blog. Right now it is redirected to this blog’s Philippine Idol category. In the following days, the blog will have its own wordpress theme.
