Jason Castro is always a delightful performer to watch - and I’m not just saying that because I think he’s absolutely dreamy. A lot of the songs people sing on American Idol have been covered to death and sound too much like the original, but Jason has a way of making other artists’ songs entirely his own. Take his performance of “Travelin’ Thru” by Dolly Parton on American Idol Top 9. We all love it not because it’s “better” than Dolly Parton’s version, but because he imbued his unique style and technique into the song. Screw you Simon, you don’t know what you’re talking about!
