Rumor has it that Jason Castro will be playing the drums for David Cook during his nationwide tour and according to the forum monkeys at the Idol Forums, the rumor is indeed true. Now, the question on every fangirl’s mind (including mine) is how many songs will Jason be playing, and will he be playing without a shirt on? Unfortunately there isn’t much information out on the Jason-David duo, but if there’s anything you know about it, do tell us!

Obviously DC recognizes Jason’s talent and wants him on tour with him. I hope Jason will also be doing some singing. His version of Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” is amazing. I admit he’s an acquired taste but I have acquired it - big time.

Castro’s girlfriend Mandy won’t be too pleased with that comment below lol. Have you seen her?? Girl is FIIIIIIIIIIINE! Drop dead ***ing sexy. Have you watched footage of Jason playing drums of soccer? The guy is as straight as a stick. Or seen any of his post-Idol, UNDEDITED interviews? I’m a male but dude is macho as hell. Or seen shots of him with facial hair? He’s all MAN. I think you’re the faggot buddy ;]

Hi, this is old news. There was going to be a Carly/Jason/Cook number of Heart’s Barracuda with Cook behind the guitar, Carly behind the mic and Jase behind the drums (awesome drummer btw, his energy and drumlines are sick) but it got nixed. All 3 fanbases (and others too) were pisssed lol. Their excuse for denying it? They didn’t want ’some’ contestants “overshadowing” others. The audience would have been more interested in Jason’s drumming and having Cook as just the guitarist whilst having Carly on vocals would have also been “unfair” to the AI winner. I still think axing the idea and replacing it with a cheesy group number was tres stupide my that’s just my opinion
And to that first comment - LOL. Jealousy is an evil thing.
Jason is beautiful; inside-out and it throws insecure people right off. CAAAAN’T HANDLE IT UH OH. He’s rocking the tour, he’s in GREAT voice - sounds so powerful! And he’s recieved nothing but glowing praise from music critics (Idol-despising ones included), good on him, the kid is nothing short of brilliant. Jason recently recorded Hallelujah for Tierre de Tigres’ movie soundtrack with International Producer, mixer, and engineer, Robbie Adams. Adams is best known for his work with U2, Beck, Smashing Pumpkins, Leonard Cohen, Patty Griffin, Spoon, Fastball and numerous other artists. Can you say awesome???
Can’t wait for his debut album. Hope he lays out some drum beats on there amongst the other instruments.
