American Idol winner David Cook just announced that his debut album will be released on November 18, 2008 under RCA Records. People are looking forward to getting their hands on this album, especially when the news came out last month that David teamed up with the Grammy-award winning producer of Green Day, Rob Cavallo. He should be about done co-writing the songs for the album now; I suppose all that’s left to do is for him to record the tracks and have them mixed!
Today also marks the launch of David Cook’s official social networking site for fans, DavidCookOfficial.Com. The website is incredibly interactive - fans can create their own profiles, make friends with fellow fans, share news and and opinions on their blogs, video and photo gallery, even contact David Cook himself! He personally welcomed fans to the new site with a video blog, and fans can reply and send him their love by sending an email to David@DavidCookOfficial.com. Now if only there was something like this for David Archuleta or Jason Castro’s female fan base…

Actually, he’s already recorded/tracked a lot. He’s been doing it all summer at various cities when he had days off between shows! His single is coming out in a few weeks!
