You’d expect the winner of American Idol to be first to come out with his single but he got beat by Kristy Lee Cook, who already has an album out, and David Archuleta who just finished recording the music video for his first single, Crush.
Well, David Cook’s not about to get outdone and outshined! His first single Lights On from his unnamed album is due for iTunes release on September 30 and the album will come out a few weeks later on November 18. But for those of you who’ve been dying to hear the stuff that David’s been working on, you can listen to Lights On here. Honestly, I expected a lot out of the single what with all the hype RCA built up but I was disappointed when I listened to it. I think David Cook tries too hard to sound like Daughtry or Chris Cornell, and there was nothing original about he single. A lot of his fans over at the Idol Forums seem to love it, though!
