American Idol Season 8 is coming to the Philippines in just a few days – January 15 on Star World, just two days after it starts in the United States. There’s a lot to look forward to this season and for me, it’s seeing the dynamics get played out between Simon, Randy, Paula and the new, Grammy-nominated judge, Kara DioGuardi. Apparently, she likes to literally sing her criticisms to the audition hopefuls, and Simon, who is always in severe-judge mode, even critiques her for it. Whether he’s just messing with her or he’s serious, it’s a little hard to tell. And then of course, there’s the entertainment factor of all the freaks, geeks, and the plain hopeless who believe that they have what it takes to be the next American Idol despite having no talent at singing or music whatsoever. Yep, American Idol Season 8 is looking to be a very interesting one.
