It looks like Rock Week is going to be next week’s theme (after the Rat Pack Standards)! And I know this because guitarist for Guns n’ Roses and Velvet Revolver Slash just tweeted:
American Idol has asked me to do the mentor bit for Rock Week. #fb
I’m guessing that Rock Week will be reserved for the Top 4, as the Top 3 contestants usually perform the judges and producers’ choice. Rock Week should be pretty good, as there isn’t a shortage of suitable songs to sing.
It also looks like Chris Daughtry will be Rock Week’s guest performer. According to a Twit he made on April 21:

His band’s vlog says that Daughtry will be debuting the new single on American Idol, and while they didn’t specify a date, it’s pretty obvious that it’ll happen on Rock Week. It certainly won’t happen on Rat Pack Week – Paula Abdul herself says that Natalie Cole will be the guest performer this week.
