During the American Idol top 3’s hometown visits, Adam Lambert performed at the Sundevils Stadium at his old high school, Mt Carmel High in San Diego. I’ve got a couple of video treats for you guys under the cut. The first video is Adam Lambert’s performance at his high school graduation in 2000. The next two videos are his performance of “Black or White” and “Mad World” from the hometown visit. And last but certainly not the least, the video of a girl who jumped onstage after “Mad World” to lift up her shirt and reveal a bright blue bra. Looks like somebody didn’t get the memo.
What I love about Adam is that he’s so honest and skips out on the bullshit most celebrities say when they give out cheesy inspirational messages. During his performance at St. Carmel, Adam had a message to all the high school oddballs in the crowd.
Not to get cheesy or get on a soap box or anything, but this is an example of believing in yourself and knowing who you are. Anyone who feels different or weird . . . embrace it. Embrace each other’s differences. It’s cool to be different.
