1Q 2006 (AI): 2.0%

That means only 3.9% MAC users in the U.S and 2% World Wide? But what does market shrea really mean? Market share in computers is the percentage/amount of computer units sold in a fiscal quarter vs. user installed base (the total actual amount of Mac owners out there). So these figures don’t show how many Mac users there are at any time.

If you’ve been keeping up with MacBook sans-Pro news, you may have heard something about an infamous “moo”-like noise coming from the fan. Basically, the fan goes on and off and on and off and on and off continuously, in a vain attempt to keep the machine cool. Now, I’m no engineer, but it certainly doesn’t take one to recognize that this isn’t normal behavior…source

I think this can easily be fixed through a firmware update. Saying that the mooing is normal is not comforting to Macbook users. Besides , it was a Macbook employee who said this. It’s not the official APPLE word.

Japans’ Nihon Keizai Shimbun appears to have confirmed the persistent rumours that Apple is planning to launch a cellular phone with iPod functionality, claiming it is being developed in conjunction with Japanese company Softbank, which has just purchased Vodafone Japan.

Analysts predict 4GB and 8GB iPod nanos with video

This time around, we have word from AppleInsider that American Technology Research analysts are reporting that their most recent “checks” indicate impending capacity doubling for the iPod nano line– to 4GB and 8GB — as well as the addition of “basic video capabilities,” in models to be released during the “September quarter.” If true, none of these developments would be all that shocking, as the current nanos already have sharp little color screens, and storage boosts are just a natural part of any digital audio player’s lifecycle.

I wonder if that’s enough space to hold videos. And why would anyone want to watch movies in a tiny little screen. Maybe short video clips are ideal.

My last camera was a Canon Ixus 430 which could not be revived after it fell to the aquarium in the states. That’s 30,000 pesos down the drain.
