Church bells

bells
Yesterday, I attended the mass at the Ateneo’s Church of Gesu because of the blessing of the church bells. It was also the Feast day of St. Ignatius Loyola. It’s just the second time ever that I attended mass there since I started college. Oh yeah, the bells were donated by Ateneo High School Class 60 and College Class 64. Since it was the feast day yesterday, we have the pleasure of no classes today. Wheee but I have group study and homework to do. Bah.

News staff at Guidon

After a year of absence, I applied and got accepted as a news staff for our school paper, The Guidon. Initially I wanted to be a features writer but since writing feature articles is easy for me, I chose “news” since it’s an altogether different field. Hehe, now to hunt for newsworthy news….

My favorite word, “woot” is number 3.

Here ’s the Top Ten Favorite Words (Not in the Dictionary)

1. ginormous (adj): bigger than gigantic and bigger than enormous

2. confuzzled (adj): confused and puzzled at the same time

3. woot (interj): an exclamation of joy or excitement

4. chillax (v): chill out/relax, hang out with friends

5. cognitive displaysia (n): the feeling you have before you even leave the house that you are going to forget something and not remember it until you’re on the highway

6. gription (n): the purchase gained by friction: “My car needs new tires because the old ones have lost their gription.”

7. phonecrastinate (v): to put off answering the phone until caller ID displays the incoming name and number

8. slickery (adj): having a surface that is wet and icy

9. snirt (n): snow that is dirty, often seen by the side of roads and parking lots that have been plowed

10. lingweenie (n): a person incapable of producing neologisms

Last day of community work

I enjoyed the final hours of my community work. Shredding paper in a paper shredder. It’s actually fun. Cheap thrills, eh?

Now I can start packing for my vacation to San Francisco. I leave in a week. I can’t wait to get out of this tropical heat. Summer Fun is just about to start. Some of my plans in San Francisoc are shoppping (of course), haircut, yoga, kick boxing, gym, writing novels (hopefully I’ll get inspired) and just lazing around. I wish I could drive around but I’m sure to get arrested for the way I drive (Filipino style).

medieval project

Last weekend, we had a medieval project for world history. We got the highest grade! Whee. You can tell it’s me because of my bandaged foot (I sprained it , remember?)
