This is my last week of regular classes and I should be happy…but no….HELL WEEK Part 2 has just started. Papers, projects, long test etc. One project I’m currently doing is a science website for kids and this keeps me entertained. It’s not yet done but here’s a sneak preview : thisisforyour.info. Cool domain name huh? I got it when it was still free.
Anyway, it’s supposed to be a creative project but I didn’t have time to cut, draw or the like. Since I have access to web hosting and domain names, creating a website was easiest solution for me.

UPCAT 2008 results here
My sister passed the University of the Philippines College Admission Test or UPCAT. Good for her. Around 64,000 take the test every year and only 2,000 (I think) are accepted in the main campus. Wow!
*EDIT- UPCAT 2006 results here
Another one of our camwhoring sessions with my blockmates . See my new hairstyle

Congrats to my sister who passed the Ateneo College Entrance Test (or ACET). Results were released yesterday morning and the online query url was uploaded today. She’s happy that she made it to her first choice. Right Now, she’s just waiting for the UP College Admission Test or UPCAT.

Their class valedictorian got a merit scholarship which means free tuition.
Anyway, here is the url of the ACET . ..Click!

My sister called up frantically at midnight asking for her case number at the De La Salle University. I remembered the DLSU Qualified Freshman Applicant Inquiry Form because I had linked it up in my journal entry 2 years ago. After typing in her first and last name, I was able to get her case number and results…No surprise. She made it to the AB Major in Psychology program.
To confirm it , I sent an sms :
Text DLSU EEXAM case_no to 2333 for (Globe Subscribers) and 211 for (Smart Subscribers)
Most of her schoolmates prefer De la Salle as their first choice but my sister’s preference is the University of the Pihilippines. I hope she gets in too even if she thinks she didn’t make it.
I never imagined that those tsunamis could hit home. My prayers go out to Sharleen May Tan (Sharky or Shar to friends). She was my batchmate, a BS-Biology sophomore in Ateneo and one of the thousands of victims who passed away in the recent South Asian Tsunami disaster . Her family and relatives were in Phuket for the Christmas holidays and her dad, brother and some other relatives perished too. I didn’t know her personally but she’s a mutual friend. Read full article here and a blog entry from a friend and from Eula and Hana. View the video of the news report in Pilipino.

I feel sad for all the victims and the survivors. I hope aid will come to them soon.
