Crowds seemed to be watching something interesting as I entered the Market Market Mall in Taguig City. Upon looking down at the first floor, I caught sight of The Cirque Imago, a world renowed acrobatic group that was hired by the Ayala Center for Ayala Mall Tours. I couldn’t get any closer as only select shoppers were allowed near the ring. I didn’t know who they were at first until I reached home and googled for Ayala Mall events.
Founded by former Cirque Du Soleil members Darren Deneault and Etienne Bersuk in 2001, Cirque Imago has established itself as one of the world’s most respected acrobatic arts companies. Deneault and Bersuk made up the duo that hooked audiences on the edge of their seats with their unique hand balancing number and the sweeping original Duo Silk act.
With television performances on Good Morning America, Late Show with David Letterman and NBC’s Extreme Variety Show, Imago has made the rounds in many awestruck households.
If you want to see blurry Cirque Imago photos, there you have it.

The SM Mall of Asia is a shopping mall that opened on May 21, 2006 and is the Philippines’ largest mall, toppling its cousin, SM Megamall, and the third biggest mall in the world in terms of gross floor size. It is owned and operated by SM Prime Holdings, under the management of Henry Sy, a Filipino-Chinese business tycoon — regarded as one of the wealthiest men in Asia.

The design is awesome. It’s so much bigger than SM Megamall. Lots of natural lighting, colors and a spectacular view of Manila Bay. Some of the unique features found only in this mall is the IMAX theater, the seaside gallery, the tram that seats 20 visitors, a car to stroll senior citizens. The best feature for me is the marina area where the sea breeze from Manila Bay cools diners even during noontime. The walkway towards the marina area brings a spectacular view of Manila Bay. It would be great to see the sunset from this area. It looks like most of the shoppers are now in SM Mall of Asia.
Here are photos of SM Mall of Asia taken using a Nokia N70 cellphone and another SM Mall of Asia Photos using a Canon Powershot A530.

How to go to SM Mall of Asia
From Quezon City , go towards the south end of Epifanio de Los Santos Avenue or EDSA crossing Taft Avenue then Roxas Boulevard. After crossing Roxas Boulevard, the road is now called Macapagal Blvd. Just continue driving towards the end of the boulevard. You won’t miss it because you will see the above-mentioned globe at the end of the boulevard.

Lunch at a Persian restaurant in The Fort was so good. It was a treat from my aunt. Right outside the restaurant was a flea market with fashion accessories. The thing is we forgot to bring cash. And you know how it is with flea markets, there is no credit card. Well at least not those under tents.
Guess who went shopping at the 168 Mall at Divisoria yesterday?

hehe, Former First Lady, Imelda R. Marcos. To think that when she used to shop in New York’s Tiffany, she closed down the store for her own private use. more pics of 168 mall

Penshoppe has such relevant ads. NOT! I don’t think values and fashion go together in this kind of ad.

I’ve only shopped once at the 168 Mall in Divisoria. What can I say??? CHEAP. There were just so many stalls that I only scoured the first floor of the mall. Yup lots of bargain goodies especially those who are into fashion. I prefer a more classic look though but I ended up buying some fashion accessories. Hehe . Oh well, the shopping malls, are complaining that their retail sales have dropped by almost 15 percent. They attribute it to the 168 Mall and the proliferation of “tiangges,” sponsored bazaars, the Greenhills flea market. Tsk Tsk. Can you blame us for shopping bargain items during these difficult times?
This is an email forward I got. The email says “Ever wonder why our markets are flooded with clothes whose prices are cheaper than those in China? It’s the smuggling of drugs. The clothing materials are practically given away free when the containers come in. It’s the few kilos of shabu (Methamphetamine) and other drugs that matter.”
Note : I can’t claim accuracy of this though..

We went to a cat show at the Tiendesitas, or small shops at the Ortigas center. The place has cluster of ‘villages’ that’s found along E. Rodriguez Avenue in Libis, Quezon City. Each ‘village’–fashion, Antique, Novelties, Home, etc. and are made up of flea-market style stalls . Anyway, the cat show was so cool.
Ahh this Scottish Fold is just so cute. Look at the folded ears:

The unique thing about this cat is that her ears are folded forward and downward on her head. The resulting look gives the impression of a “pixie”, “owl”, or “teddy bear”. So adorable.
This is the kind of cat my dad would love. The Sphynx. No fur at all.

True show Sphynx have very little hair (on the bridge of their noses and the backs of the ears), but pet Sphynx may have more.
There was this tiger cub too. It sells for 200,000 pesos or close to $4,000. Wow. It looks so scrawny though.

There are more pics. view here.
