This afternoon, I went to shop at Shoemart SM Makati for the first time since I chose to “boycott” it. The place was given a drastic makeover last year–the interior looks more cheerful and clean and the quality of the merchandise has improved by far. read more?

There’s just so much hype for this Harry Potter 6 especially about pre-ordering them. Today,I got a copy without much fanfare at National Bookstore, Katipunan right outside school. No wonder there wasn’t a crowd dying to buy this edition. It cost a freaking 1,500 pesos or $27 which is damned expensive. Amazon is offering it for only $16.99. Ugh, unfair. Many are probably just waiting for the paperback edition. Like the news says , much ado as Harry Potter reaches hits the shelves. My sister is reading it right now so I’m probably going to start next week.
I really want to buy this Portrait of the Black Panther. It’s only $4,000. Cheaper than a platinum diamond ring, and it shoots up in value very quickly.
I can pay for up to 6 months and they deliver to the Philippines. Yes, I’m dreaming.
Uncle Erik took me to Ross‘ today and he bought me three really great looking tops (all were less than $10!) and a white Guess handbag for $4. He told me Marielle loved Ross’ so much, she spent 2 hours. I wish I had gone there when I still had a lot of money. There was a sale at L’Oreal for lipstick (2 for $7) so I got one for mom and one for me. I got Dad two San Francisco t-shirts in Chinatown–it was a lot cheaper there than the souvenir shops in the Wharf. One is your basic souvenir shirt and the other one says, “Alcatraz, Psycho Ward Outpatient”. I hope he likes
it.
Macy is evil. I just got back from Costco. I should’ve just bought bras and panties at Costco. Maidenform bras are 2 for $19! And then six panties for $10. For the money I spent at Macy’s I could’ve bought 6 bras at Costco. *cries* Oh well, ignorant tourist. Am on my third week here so I should know better.
I was too sleepy to get up this morning for sunday mass but when dad announced that he was taking us for a shopping spree, my ears perked up. So off we went to the Market! Market! located at Global City. Before leaving, he was shocked at my backless top and told me to bring a shawl. Uh. yeah..It’s noontime and I’m wearing a poncho.

I did last minute shopping at the Greenhills Flea Market (the tiangge) and found a lot of bargains like 2 new pair of pants, a top and a new wallet. Shopping at the flea market is like having an adventure because you never know what kind of purchases you end up with. View album
