Speaking of mom

Reading Connie’s post about her mom, I am glad my mom’s condition is just temporary. My mom recently had surgery for a fractured tibula and displaced ankle joint. I think they placed screws and metal plate . Anyway, for the past 3 weeks, she has been using the wheelchair or crutches but preferring to use the wheelchair . Things had to change around the house. First of all, since she can’t drive, dad hired a temporary driver for us. Yeah I ‘m so helpless, I can’t drive myself to school. Second, we had to place little ramps in certain parts of the house. My mom’s fiberglass cast is a cool neon green that glows in the dark. It has a heel under it in preparation for 2 weeks from now when she can put weight on it already. I always thought a cast was made of cement. If I ever need to be “casted”, I ‘d choose a purple color.
