Top 2 Prediction for American Idol Season 7

I am sure it is now a David Cook- David Archuleta top 2 finalist. Though I feel that David Cook should win, it will be David Archuleta who will be the winner. He has such a huge fan base.

David A.’s fan base is nothing if not loyal. And passionate. And vocal. He’s just 17, they say. He’s a beacon of light in the dark, cynical, negative world that is the recording industry today, they say. He’s cheerful and he smiles, they say. He’s humble. He’s shy. He works hard, his fans insist — though Lennon/McCartney fans may take issue with that last one. There was that night he booted the lyrics to We Can Work It Out, remember — but, of course, that only counts now for Idol fans with long memories. (He was nervous, he later admitted.)

No, make no mistake. This is David A.’s Idol to lose. And anyone who knows anything about the culture today knows that, when it comes to pop-music/movies/or-TV, what the tweeners want, the tweeners get.

We live in the world, kids, and the world is thus.

David Archuleta Shocked Face

Look at the look on their faces when someone suggested to go to a strip club.

David Archuleta made a smart choice with Smoky Mountain Memories during the Top 9 Week. I say “smart” because his performance was very safe - good tone, consistent voice quality, and fairly reasonable range but it was as outstanding as the others. Then again, you have to give him credit because this song is a fairly tough one and he should definitely stick around for being able to make the most out of what he could do.

David Archuleta sings The Long and Winding Road. He was simply amazing.

Randy Jackson said, “David Archuleta has brought the hotness back to his game tonight.” Paula Abdul said, “This is probably for me the most exciting and wonderful performance.” Simon Cowell said, “David, last week was a complete mess. This week, I thought you were amazing.”

David Archuleta Stage Dad

from ET Online

Was there more than just nerves behind 17-year-old David Archuelata’s shaky performance on last night’s “American Idol”?

The early favorite was definitely off his game and even forgot several lines during his version of THE BEATLES’ “We Can Work It Out.” Sources are telling ET the singer may be feeling the pressure from his “stage father” JEFF ARCHULETA, who reportedly yelled at David Archuleta during a recording session Monday. Sources say Dad wasn’t happy with his son’s singing — and even brought him to tears. Neither Jeff nor reps for “American Idol” would comment on the alleged incident.

If this is true, how sad. David is such a sweet and talented kid. I hope his father changes his ways and offers unconditional love to David and his other children.
