To their credit, the “Idol” producers have demonstrated that they do not take themselves too seriously. The decision to include in the finale Renaldo Lapuz, the white-robed and tuneless originator of the song “We’re Brothers Forever,” was a stroke of genius, one that will certainly inspire more jaw-dropping “talent” to prepare their acts for next season’s auditions.
